Day 4: Offer Statement

Start crafting your Offer Statement, using this simple framework:

I help [market] [your market’s problem or the solution they want] using [your specialty or solution].

For example…

Say the market I chose are those who sell courses online.

Then from DAY 2, I found that one of their biggest problems is launching their course so they can enroll more students.

And the specialty I chose is email marketing.

If I follow the framework above, my offer statement may look like this:

I help info product owners increase their launch revenue using email marketing.

That’s infinitely better than saying – “I’m an email marketer!” – isn’t it?

Now, if the format above is a bit basic, and you have a bit more knowledge about your market, you can also try this one…

I help [market] [your market’s problem or the solution they want] WITHOUT [thing they hate].

This time, we’re not explicitly telling them our specialty but instead, letting them know that the service we have removes the very thing they hate.

Using the same example as above I could say…

I help info product owners increase their launch revenue WITHOUT spending a dime on ads.

It’s a slightly different offer statement for literally the same service.

However, if the frameworks above are a bit advanced for your taste, you can try using this one:

I help [market] [your market’s problem or the solution they want]

As you can see, it’s fine not to mention your specialty so long as your would-be client knows what exactly is the problem you solve.

Applying that to the example above, here’s what that would look like:

I help info product owners increase their launch revenue

Simple lang naman, di ba?

Especially if you’ve already done DAY 1, 2, 3, and 4.

Do you actually have to follow the framework?

Nope. Not necessarily.

So long as your offer statement contains WHO you help and WHAT problem you solve you’re good to go.

For example, I could say…

“I specialize in member acquisition for gyms and fitness centers

As you can see, it doesn’t follow the format.

However…

It’s clear WHO it serves (fitness centers) and WHAT problem it is solving (member acquisition).

Again, it’s the WHO and the WHAT.

WHO and WHAT.

WHO and WHAT.

WHO and WHAT.

WHO and… okay, I think you already get the drift. 😉

Now if you’re offer statement makes you feel like an impostor and makes you think…

“Nakakahiya ilagay sa profile eh di naman ako expert”

Or…

“Hala, di pa naman ako magaling. Baka isipin nila, magaling na ako”

Don't

Unang una, we never said anything about being an expert.

Pangalawa, it’s not a lie.

Now, it may look like nagpapatawa lang ako but think about it…

Weird, noh?

But if after all this talk, di ka pa rin kumbinsido na freelancer ka na as soon as you entered this 12-day challenge…

You can simply replace the “I help” part with “I would love to help”

That way, it doesn’t feel as if you’re claiming something that you’re not. 🙂

Anyhoo…

All you have to do is follow the frameworks above, fill in the blanks based on what you’ve learned these past couple of days…

Ta-dah! – may offer statement ka na.

Ayos ba? 😉

Now, just a reminder…

You can choose NOT to follow the templates provided.

Gabay lamang sila.

Sabi nga…

As long as kapag binasa yung offer statement mo, it’s clear to the one reading WHO you serve and WHAT problem you are solving…

You can tweak your offer statement however you please.

But bottomline is this…

The more clear your prospects are on what you can do for them…

The more of them you’ll attract. 🙂
