LESSON 4.2 - 3 Ways to Get Clients: Connection Request
Why Send Connection Requests?
If you did the previous lesson, then you already know how vital it is to have a network you could always reach out to get referrals.
That’s why for this lesson, all you have to do is ADD people in your target market into your network whether that’s LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
Say you add/connect with your market and add them in your network…
Ang unang makikita nila is your optimized profile.
Dun pa lang posible na kaagad na they’ll reach out to you and ask about your services.
At the same time…
There’s also the previous lesson which is ‘Network Outreach’.
So the more of your target market you connect with…
The more people you can send a network outreach message and ask referrals from.
Join 2-3 related Facebook Groups In Your Market
It’s no secret that one of the best sources of prospects and clients are Facebook groups.
So as early as now, you’d want to join groups where your market hangs out.
Let me just repeat that…
WHERE YOUR MARKET HANGS OUT.
There’s no point in joining groups where your prospects are nowhere to be found.
The more engaged the group, the better.
List Down Your Top 100
Not all markets have Facebook groups.
That’s a fact.
So to get someone’s attention, you’re gonna be a little more proactive.
You’re going to list down the TOP 100 people (if you could go to 300 that’s much better) you’d like to work with.
For example, say you want to work with tech companies.
While it may be hard to search for Facebook groups where these people hang out…
It’s relatively easy to find them on Google.
Once you find them, check out their website, then find details on who the CEO, Founders, team are etc.
Sometimes they’d have a link straight to their Facebook/LinkedIn profile…
And if they don’t, just search for their name on Facebook/LinkedIn and manually search for their profile.
Or say your target market are coaches in the personal development space…
You can go to Amazon. Search for all the books about personal development.
List down the author names.
Look for them on either Facebook or LinkedIn and save the link to their profile.
You don’t have to add or send a connection request just yet. You’ll find out why in the next lesson.
If You Do This Right…
You’re possibly one connection request away from getting a client.
Plus, the more connections you have, the greater the likelihood that you will appear in someone’s search results…
Not to mention having increased reach whenever you post something.
